How my journey began

Kathryn Watson has spent her entire life surrounded by the serene beauty of a small, tight-knit town. From a young age, Kathryn found solace in the company of four-legged friends. Raised in a family that took pride in tending to their farm animals, she was introduced to the responsibilities of caring for animals early on. Kathryn's passion for dogs blossomed as she witnessed the bond they shared with their human companions. She marveled at their loyalty, unfaltering devotion, and playful spirits. Any free moment she had was spent exploring the nearby fields and woods with her faithful canine companions by her side.
As Kathryn grew older, so did her comprehension of the importance of proper dog training and care. She observed that even the most well-intentioned pet owners often struggled to communicate effectively with their furry friends. This led her to a realization - she had a natural talent for understanding the complexities of the canine mind and a desire to bridge the communication gap that existed between humans and their beloved pets.
With her heart set on making a difference, Kathryn set off on a journey to expand her knowledge and expertise in dog training. She immersed herself in books, online courses, seminars, and schooling to gain a deeper understanding of dog behavior, obedience, and the art of effective communication. Drawing inspiration from renowned trainers, she eagerly absorbed their wisdom and honed her skills with unwavering determination. Her knowledge and understanding of dog behavior, obedience training, and the specific needs of individuals with disabilities propelled her to the forefront of this specialized discipline.
Driven by her unique expertise, new found knowledge, and a genuine desire to change lives, Kathryn recognized the need for a canine academy in her small town and so Spot On Canine Academy was born. This facility serves as a hub for both humans and their furry companions, offering assistance, guidance, and a nurturing environment for those seeking service dogs and basic obedience/ behavior training.

Through her academy she has watched fearful dogs become confident, disobedient pups transform into well-mannered companions, and broken bonds mend between owners and their beloved pets.
